This portrait of Lady Gaga was done for the joint birthday and christmas present of my best friend =]

The portrait and borders are done in pencil and, because I thought it needed some more colour to it, I used blue, turqouise and purple inks to do the background and iris(es).

I think it took around 7 hours to complete, though I can't be sure as I did it in little spurts over several months! I quite liked how this came out, though I know the nose isn't right. I much prefer this 'era' of Gaga, as does my friend (thankfully!).

EDIT: I've retouched the photograph I took (using a funciton of GIMP that I learned last week) so hopefully it looks a little better! The borders are still a little dodgy though.

-White card, approx A3
-HB mechanical pencil
-2B, 4B and 8B pencils
-'Viridian Hue', 'Violet' and 'Brilliant Blue' drawing inks
-Cut up eraser
-Cotton buds
-Tissues
