So I really wanted to draw a female portrait and, since becoming mildly obsessed with Harry Potter this summer, I've developed a new sense of appreciation and respect for Emma Watson.

I know very little about her as a person, but from what I do know, she seems to be very sweet. She's ridiculously pretty, but also so, so intelligent - but most importantly, she balances it all.

I enjoyed doing this portrait hugely, but I'm not satisfied with it (when am I ever?), particularly in the facial area - but I'm very happy with the overall effect of the stippling! I'm definitly going to do more work with stippling and also more of Emma Watson. She was great to draw and it's a nice change not having to tackle a beard!
